The Township Dogs of Cape Town

Sidewalk Specials is a Cape Town-based NGO that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs from the townships around the city. They also perform Mass Sterilisation Drives in order to control populations and reduce suffering. This photographic journey into the heart of South Africa’s townships, offers a poignant insight into a place where both people and animals struggle to survive.
